Sea buckthorn grows wild in the cold valleys of the Himalayas. In Ladakh, families have picked its bright orange berries for generations, and Tibetan healers wrote about the plant more than a thousand years ago.

Rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants these berries are known to nourish and rejuvenate the skin.

The deep orange-red colour comes from the berry's natural carotenoids. The oil also contains omega 3, 6, 7, 9, Vitamin E & C and Beta-carotene which is a powerful rare combination. You can use it on your face, body, hair and scalp.

How to use

Face: Put 2 to 3 drops on clean, slightly damp skin. Massage until the oil soaks in.

Body: Massage a small amount into your skin as needed. Dry patches such as elbows and knees are a good place to start.

Hair and scalp: Massage a small amount into your scalp or the ends of your hair. You can use it alone or mix it with your usual carrier oil, such as coconut or almond oil.

Because the oil is so strongly coloured, you can add a drop to your moisturiser instead of using it on its own.

Storage: Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Keep away from your eyes. If oil gets in, rinse with cool water.
Patch test first: put one drop inside your forearm and wait 24 hours.
Stop using it if you notice redness, itching or irritation.
Don’t apply to broken, cut or sunburnt skin.
The oil’s natural orange colour can tint fair skin for a short time. It can also stain clothing, towels, pillowcases and light-coloured fabric. Use a small amount and give it time to soak in.

Keep out of reach of children.

Certificate + Authenticity

To verify that a herb is authentic it is issued with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) which contains tests (heavy metals/safety/identification) done on every batch of herb manufacturing. E.g Amla COA or Ashwagandha COA. COAs for every herb are available via email request.

What is sea buckthorn berry oil?

It’s an oil pressed from the small orange berries of the sea buckthorn shrub. The shrub grows wild in cold, dry mountain regions, including the Himalayas. This bottle has one ingredient: pure sea buckthorn berry oil, with nothing added.

What does “cold-pressed” mean?

The berries get pressed without high heat or chemical solvents. The oil keeps its natural colour, scent and fatty acids.

Why is the oil so orange?

The berries contain carotenoids, the same natural pigments that make carrots orange. The deep orange-red colour shows you have the real fruit oil.

Will it stain my skin or clothes?

It can. On fair skin, it can leave a light orange tint for a short time, and it can mark towels, pillowcases and pale clothing. Use a small amount, give it a few minutes to soak in, and keep dark towels nearby.

Can I use it on oily or sensitive skin?

Most skin types can use it. If your skin is oily, start with one drop. If your skin is sensitive, patch test first: put a drop inside your forearm and wait 24 hours.
