Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kansa metal and why is it used in Ayurveda?

Kansa (bronze) is a classical alloy of copper and tin, cherished in Ayurveda for centuries as a natural material used in daily wellness rituals. Traditionally, Kansa was used for dining utensils and self-care tools due to its grounding and balancing qualities.

This hand-crafted face roller is made from pure Kansa metal and is traditionally used to help support the skin's natural balance and radiance. The metal's naturally alkaline character is valued for helping support a calm, refreshed complexion and a healthy-looking glow.

In Ayurvedic tradition, Kansa tools are believed to help support the body's natural processes of balance and renewal, making them a thoughtful addition to modern self-care rituals inspired by timeless wisdom.

How does face rolling help with lymphatic drainage and de-puffing

Face rolling is traditionally used to help support natural lymphatic flow, which in turn helps maintain a refreshed and balanced appearance. Gentle rolling movements can help support the skin’s normal circulation and encourage relaxation of facial muscles.

The Kansa Face Roller features two roller sizes designed to follow facial contours — the larger end for areas like the forehead, jaw, and neck, and the smaller end for the delicate eye and brow area. Roll outward from the centre of your face, and when working on the neck, use gentle downward strokes. Regular practice (2–3 times weekly) helps support the skin’s natural tone, leaving it feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Can this roller help with acne and skin texture?

Yes! The Kansa Face Roller is traditionally used to help support the skin's natural balance and clarity. Its smooth bronze surface is naturally alkaline and has been valued in Ayurveda for helping support a clean, refreshed complexion. Regular use may help support the skin's normal renewal process and maintain its natural tone and texture.

The gentle rolling motion also helps support circulation and relaxation of facial muscles, which can contribute to a more radiant, balanced appearance. With consistent use, the tool can help enhance the skin's natural glow and contour, promoting a refreshed and well-rested look.

How should I use the Kansa face roller correctly?

Begin by applying a few drops of your preferred facial oil or serum to allow smooth, comfortable gliding - the roller is not intended for use on dry skin.

Forehead: Use the larger roller to glide upward from the brows to the hairline.

Eyebrows: With the smaller end, roll gently across the brow area in horizontal motions.

Eyes: Using the smaller roller, move from the inner to outer corners with light pressure.

Chin & Jaw: With the larger end, roll from the chin toward the ears to follow natural contours.

Under Chin: Roll gently upward to help support natural firmness.

Neck: Stroke downward in light, sweeping motions to help support natural lymphatic flow.

Repeat each motion five to ten times using gentle, consistent strokes. Clean the roller after every use and store it in a dry place. For traditional self-care practice, use two to three times per week. The Kansa roller measures approximately 15 cm in length.

What results can I expect and are there any precautions?

With regular use (2-3 times weekly), expect: sculpted, uplifted face; reduced puffiness and double chin; minimised acne and scars; firm, toned skin; refined pores; diminished wrinkles and fine lines; natural glow; and relief from headaches and stress. As a natural pain alleviator, it provides relief from headaches and sunburn. PRECAUTIONS: Not recommended over open wounds or irritated skin. Avoid applying too much pressure—gentle, consistent strokes work best. Always use with facial oil to prevent dragging. Clean after each use to maintain hygiene.
