Fantastic product. I am using Ashwagandha in my final weeks of pregnancy and have had great results. Stress doesn't bring me down as much, I have more energy and feel stronger now at 38weeks pregnant then I did at 36 weeks. I use a teaspoon a day in my warm milk with other safe herbs and spices including the Shatavari powder I brought :)

FAQs

In Ayurveda, nutmeg (Jatiphala/Myristica fragrans) is described as Deepana (appetiser), Hrudya (cardiac tonic), Grahi (useful in IBS, diarrhoea), and Kasahara (relieves cough). This 100% natural nutmeg powder supports digestive fire and corrects digestion with its Deepan and Pachan properties. It supports neurological wellness (calm mind and restful sleep when combined with warm milk), emotional wellness (balanced mood with calming effects), inflammatory balance (joint comfort when used as poultice), and has antimicrobial properties.

Culinary amounts (a pinch to 1/4 teaspoon, approximately 0.25-1 gram) are generally considered safe for daily use. For sleep support, add a small pinch (about 1/8 teaspoon) to warm milk. The Ayurvedic recommended dose is 500mg to 1 gram daily. IMPORTANT: Higher doses can cause adverse effects and are not recommended. It's generally safe to consume up to 1/4 teaspoon (about 1 gram) per day. Always measure carefully and do not exceed recommended amounts.

Nutmeg contains myristicin, which in high doses is very toxic and has narcotic effects. The minimum dosage that can cause psychogenic effects is 5 grams (ground nutmeg) - this is considered a "toxic dose." At this level, symptoms of intoxication can emerge including dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, delirium, epileptic convulsions, giddiness, weak pulse, and feeling of heaviness in chest. Symptoms usually occur 3-6 hours after ingestion and may persist up to 72 hours. Always use only culinary/therapeutic amounts (pinch to 1/4 teaspoon).

For sleep support, nutmeg's soothing properties help nurture relaxation when a small pinch (1/8 teaspoon) is added to warm milk before bedtime. For digestion, nutmeg helps improve digestive fire, supports treatment of flatulence (gas formation), indigestion, and diarrhoea. It has Deepan (appetiser) and Pachan (digestive) properties that correct digestion. The anti-inflammatory properties also support joint comfort. Use only recommended amounts - culinary doses are therapeutic and safe.
