Iron is an essential micronutrient required for the transport of oxygen in the body, metabolism, immunity, and enzyme function.
There are two types of iron in foods: haem iron, found in meat, fish, and eggs; and non-haem iron, found in both animal foods and plant foods, such as vegetables and legumes. The non-haem iron found in plant foods is less well absorbed than haem iron, and its absorption can be further reduced by dietary factors such as phytates (found in grains and legumes), and polyphenolic compounds in tea and coffee.
In five separate clinical trials, the addition of the probiotic Lactobacillus Plantarum 299v has been shown to increase the amount of non-haem iron absorbed from foods and drinks. To verify that a herb is authentic it is issued with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) which contains tests (heavy metals/safety/identification) done on every batch of herb manufacturing. E.g Amla COA or Ashwagandha COA. COAs for every herb are available via email request.
Please note shilajit cannot be claimed as organic as it's not cultivated by humans, it's extracted from special shilajit rocks which is only produced by nature. Shilajit can only be tested for heavy metals which we have done in a Eurofins Laboratory (document is available here)
